RED BEARD
She asked you, make her pay for the ring !! mark bloody good idea that ,them what do the bidding should do the buying.and bruno is dead right there about new rings,i bought mrs red a old second hand ring with some nice stones in (can't remember what) and she went to have it resized or cleaned and the jeweller offered her a good more than i'd just paid for it,you wouldn't get that with a new one. Sco77w
Pumps are cheap , no way of squirreling away £300 or so for one ? Also , how much would she have spent on a ring if she DID know about the bonus ?
Sco77w
Here's one for you. http://www.gunstar.co.uk/Shotgun/Remington-870-gun-for-sale-gs66402.aspx Cheap enough to knock fence post in with if you find your not shooting it.
sitsinhedges
She proposes yet you have to buy the ring
vole
Yo can get a brand new Magtech for £130 or there are often Manufrance cheapie pumps , I got one for £60 from the bargain bin at the dealers . Not brilliant but might just scratch that itch ! The Remi above looks hard to beat . I now use a humble Escort pump , not a complaint about it and Edgar Bros down the road is brimming with spares ( they have to be by many accounts though mine is a good un so far ) . JR1960
Should have stayed away from home on the 29th Should have said NO You've only got yourself to blame. thats it now, youre doomed. Its all downhill from here. 6months on and all the fun stops 12 months and you wanna spend how much on a gun.
BangBangNik
She asked you, make her pay for the ring !! mark That's what I thought but it would seem I was wrong To be fair we looked at a lot of rings, second hand and new but this was the one she fell for so who am I to argue. I do still have some of the bonus left but I have some things I want to do around the house first and there won't be any pump action fund left after that. BangBangNik
Hmmm, the remi does look rather nice. I suppose the jobs around the house could wait a little longer

njc110381
Amen to that... Isnt the going rate...1 months wages on a ring these days...?? Don't be silly! I'm spending a weeks wages on one for my other half. Any more than that and she isn't getting one! Too much money spent on guns.... Wash your mouth out with soap man! Too much money spent on weddings and honeymoons more like! It's only a day and a piece of paper isn't it. Spend some money on the gun and buy the ring with the change. If she's a keeper she'll be happy with that - shows good commitment to a life of give and take. All this talk of six months down and it's the only fun you'll get and after a year you can't spend any money on your hobby - well I bet all those blokes have given their life and soul in the early days and their other halfs have been happy to take it too! BangBangNik
Too much money is spent on guns,if you can shoot ,you can shoot with anything. s/s is all anybody needs I quite agree, but I didn't say I needed a pump, merely that I wanted one because they're are cool. I think its more to do with the sound they make. I could probably just record the sound and play it on my iPod when using my o/u Isnt the going rate...1 months wages on a ring these days...?? I had heard that but thankfully my girlfriend hasn't so I guess I have got off lightly when you look at it like that.
