Lots flying around and lots of crow. I know they have been feeding on ivy , but why havent i seen any in fields? any answers apreciated.

  • 3 weeks later...

After two poor years good numbers now in N Norfolk. Since the end of Feb a few on rape , but conditions were good for the drilling and hardly any birds used them . For the past 6 weeks almost all the birds I have seen have been on clover.I saw two flocks this morning on my farms of 300 and 1000 all on clover. Even sprouting peas cant draw them off the clover.

It's my son's 17th birthday tomorrow and he wants me to take him shooting. I took the dog out on my permission this morning to scout around. There's hardly anything about. The few pigeons I saw all flew out of ivy covered trees. Nothing on the ground. I wish I could conjure up just a few for him.
