steve0146
Ordered some gundog dummies over a week a ago from these guys. Still no sign, so rang them. They dont actually stock them and have to order them in. Probably take another 5 days due to the bank holiday! Rubbish!!! Mail order should not take nearly two weeks. There are plenty who can get it to you within 3-4 days. Wont be using again.
ilovemyheckler
had the same thing (gundog dummies) with gundog solutions. It really annoys me when you order stuff, they take your money and then say that they are waiting for delivery. Slightly different moan but I recently ordered a remote dummy launcher from the states and it got to the UK in 2 days only to stay in customs for another 8 days! The fastest in my experience is Sporting Saint. Not always the cheapest (but not much in it) but always excellent and fast service.
steve0146
Dummies arrived but sent ones different to advertised. Not even remotely the same. Once again, rubbish.
sky gipsy
I hate to say it, but you should have used gundoggear.co.uk I have no association to them, other than being a past customer & receiving great after sales care. There are the MUTZ NUTZ :good:

philm
I never have any problems with Cheshire gun room was in there last week and found the staff really helpful. Two shops, one in Bolton the other in Stockport. The lads in Bolton shop are ok, Stockport not helpful at all. I won't be using either of them again. Pity for the lads in Bolton. Hector Vector
Agree with Sky Gypsy regarding Gundog Gear. They are very good and incredibly customer-focussed. Emma is so helpful and knows exactly how customers should be treated. A pleasure to deal with.
PigeonEater
I find the lads at Stockport very helpful. Was in the other week looking at the 725, the lad was reeling off facts about the gun, and the manufacturing process allsorts....turns out he was IT and not even sales... Frenchieboy
I have read a lot of negativity about Cheshire Gun Rooms but I much prefer to judge for myself! I only go to their branch in Halliwell Road, Bolton (Mainly for ammunition when I need it) so I can't really speak for their other branch, except for when I want something that the Bolton Branch does not have in stock. On the few occasions that this has happened they have managed to get whatever I wanted over to Bolton pretty quickly. I have to say that in my experience the lads in The North West Gun Centre have NEVER been anything other than helpful, polite and welcoming. It seems strange to me how people can see two different branches of the same shop to be so different! I ought to add that I have never done any dealing with them "On Line" so I am not in a position to comment on that side of the business! dodeer
Support your local gunshop and go and buy stuff from them not mail order because it a tad cheaper.

I agree, because a gun shop that closes will be missed when it's gone.

He has been incredible helpful and has sorted the problem out. The problem was mainly down to supply problems and I now have the dummies I orginally ordered. He has also let me keep the dummies they sent by mistake at no extra charge. I would like to point out they are not 'rubbish' as my first post stated, just check they have it in stock! KFC
I know that they get a pretty bad press on a regular basis. I ordered an air cylinder that seemed like a good price. Got sick of the promises about delivery and wasting days waiting in. After about the fourth time of phoning the lad could tell straight away that I was not happy so he passed me on to John, apparent owner, who was polite and helpful but then informed me that they were fresh out of hoses and didn't know when they'd be in. I cancelled the order and rang Blackpool Air Rifles. The bottle arrived from them the following morning. I really don't understand the logic of taking orders, letting customers down and then spouting a load of *********. All it does is make sure that I never use them again and I don't recommend them to others either. Seems a really weird setup in these competitive times. PigeonEater
im starting to wonder about peoples motives tbh. Obviously some of it is genuine, we can see that, but you get a lot of "stories" on these threads of peoples similar experiences and how they would never go there again but example gunshop cant put a foot wrong. I know what these guys are like, and its not like half the **** spouted on here. A bit iffy if you ask me.
blanky
I agree, because a gun shop that closes will be missed when it's gone. Support a good gun shop. Losing a bad one is no loss. It works both ways. What about good customer service, reliabilty, trustworthiness, feeling valued as a customer etc. If that isn't provided then good riddance.
