First rabbits with my own 22lr

Hi all, well following on from last nights fruitless trip I decided to have a look out tonight. Slight rain, light wind, light fading but still ok.

Had a drive around the fields, just sidelights on Disco and managed to bag three. Over the moon as was tricky on my own but I enjoyed it. Cut them open and left them in the usual position so my mate Si-bore can make very good use of them with his crazy long range shots :)

Anyway here is a pic.

Kind regards

Well towards the end of playing, at around 10pm maybe just after, I did give the headlights a quick flash or had a scan around with the 170 and Amber filter but generally just used the side lights. There was just enough light to see them at 50ish yards. The scope was amazing in the low light conditions too.

You can't beat the feeling of getting out with a new toy. The step up to firearms from shotguns and air rifles is an amazing feeling. Be careful out there and have fun! :good:

Edit... One thing I would do is change that sling. I don't like stuff touching my barrel! Apart from that, nice setup.

Well done :good: :good: Is that the 452 silhouette? I tried that but preferred the 455 varmint  Its a long time since I used a 22lr, so like you was pleased to get my own and bag a bunny with its first shot.

Happy shooting :good:

I can imagine how elated you are, it is a "boys toys" feeling innit. The first thing i picked up in the photo was the sling position on the barrel, like said get one on the swivels. I'm sure you have been warned or know about the dreaded richochets. I have the STYLE version of your SILHOUETTE in .22lr and .17 hmr. I am relatively new to rimfire shooting but after air rifles and shotguns it's a whole new world out there, enjoy it.
