kitchy
I went out this morning to find my gun shooting at an estimated 20 flbs with grit big flames banging out of it so i went home and stripped everything out of it and to find piston and piston face covered on oil so i cleaned every thing every last bit of the tx200 and even barrel and the spring is covered in another type of oil bu thsts fine on the txs theres no qay for it to get into the piston but should the piston and the metal rod behind it what the piston face is onto like the piston should it.have a little oil on it or dry ? kitchy
The oil on the piston causes it to make flames so i cleaned it but im not sure weather to put a tiny bit on or not Just seems dodgy a dry piston
Rimfireboy
Don't oil it in front of the piston inside the compression chamber. Anywhere else is ok. Don't use silicone oil on metal to metal bearing surfaces. That will seize it up.

I still don't understand most of that, but how did you estimate 20ft lb and where has this magical oil come from that massively increases the power? fenboy
A piece of advice for free. Buy a damned Combro Chrono and save your Equus africanus asinus from the showers at HMP! I would guess since he says its now doing 11.6ft/lb after a clean he already has one.
artschool
I would guess since he says its now doing 11.6ft/lb after a clean he already has one. yes but since he has admitted on the Internet that the gun was doing 20 he is now in possession of a section 1. kitchy
why its not ne more...... took all the parts out and literaly scrubbed every last bit of oil out of the chamber and it feels smoother now and just left a little on the spring and its shooting 11.6flbs 8.4's but before it was 11.3 when i first bought it but its shooting laods more consistant now than before
kitchy
yeah ive got a chrony F1 its sorted now and its just under 800fps e.g 790 794 and that but all these cheap crappy crosman and other **** say they come standard as 1000FPS -_- how does that work ?
NIGHT SEARCHER
It means that if your gun is FAC power the pellets are good for 1000fps without distortion . A pellet is only as good has the gun and barrel that`s shooting it. Crosman premiers RWS superdomes RWS superfield are all very good pellets in sub 12 ftlb rifles . kitchy
no i mean the guns like gamo and stuff on youtube say 12flbs 1000fps 177 mines 11.6 and its
demonwolf444
designed for american market and other worldwide markets, guns have to be dummed down before they are imported to meet requirements.
kitchy
hmm yeah i no what you mean false advertising in UkK then init haha
NIGHT SEARCHER
No its not false its what`s on there web sites based in there home country (ie) Commeta spain. Hatsan Turkey. The Commeta 400 leaves the factory in spain at 20 ftlb as standard and as to be de-tuned for import into the UK. The Hatsan AT44 in turkey leaves the factory at 24 ftlb but again has to be de-tuned for the UK market. Hull cartridge import Weihrauch Rifles and they have to by law check every Rifle and adjust its power to just under the 12 ftlb UK limit before its released for sale.
