artschool
I won't be supporting the Olympic torch. the gas used to keep it alight could heat an old persons home this winter.
WelshLamb
Its all a load of ********. Our boss has pre-arranged it so those who don't want to come back to the UK don't have to while the games are on

CaptC
Devon and Cornwall Police are mounting "the biggest operation since the eclipse" - What a total waste of money! The torch can cost each runner £199 if they want to keep it - yet another money making scheme! The daft thing is its been driven most of the way around the county. Massive hype on the radio and the box trying to drum up support - uugh! Please note the Davy lamp - good old Cornish boy!

There is a story going around that the Beckhams have commandeered a large hotel at St Ives as he and his family are staying there. The story goes that there was a wedding booked and dear David not only paid for another venue but also paid of the neewbie couple's mortgage. Nice. ordnance
Probably just getting grumpy in my old age. I wouldn't cross the street to see it. I see on the news it has its own seat on the plane and its own room in the hotel for the night load of bo**ocks.
