Yeah i know it can be done but its not right to, mucks up the strains, regardless of what colour you get from them, silvers have no end of problems and they can be obtained by not interbreeding.

Thought as soon as i saw your kits that you must of interbreed down the line, within our ferret rescue and welfare society we dont interbreed and still get black nose black eyed silvers aswell as the usual, albino's, caramel, sandy's, polecats, silver mitts, and blacks etc.

Bad husbandry if you ask me.

Sorry to say ferretboy111 but them kitts cant be inbreed as ive never breed kitts for years instead getting a couple of kitts off differnt folk on sites as required often 100s of miles apart so the parents are from differnt guys and differnt stock

Ment to add never said i did inbreed just gave an example of D.B.Plummer

Ah well, shall live and learn, i bred this year intentionally with my silver mitt, got 12 silver mitts out of her and managed to rehome the kits to people i knew and trust, thank god. Doubt i will ever again, cost me an arm and a leg in food, ate me out of house and home.

Ive 3 castrated boys, 1 vasectomised hob, 4 jills, and 2 hob kits and 2 jill kits, so 12 alltogether.

love them all to bits, some are cracking workers too.
