flash
its really horrible, she was only 12 weeks, and she hasnt returned yet, im getting really worried.
Cranfield
Look all around your garden, in, under and behind everything. They don't usually go that far. If you have a carrying box, leave that open on the ground near the hutch, with some food and water. Keep your eyes open just before dusk, they will often sleep most of the day. Best of luck. Ferretboy111
I lost one of mine a while back, found her under the chicken shed thank god, my friend in ipswich has lost 2 albino jills and a silver mitt hob which havent returned yet either, must be careful about hutch arrangements and locks etc with ferrets. flash
we left her old hutch open with water, food and blankets. and in desperation we set a live squirel trap with ferret food and a blanket in. we checked everywhere and all my neighbours are looking out for her. im worried as it was raining heavily this morning. cheers flash

Ferret Master
She will be back Tom. It is scientifically proven that ferrets have a homing instinct.
Cranfield
flash, don't give up hope, she won't have gone far. Check the food you have out, to see if its been touched. If you have a garden shed thats off the ground (or your neighbour has), I bet she is under it. As long as she is warm, dry and has access to food and water she will stay there. Its the food that will bring her out, unless you spot her taking her exercise in the garden.
Stealth Stalker
Sorry to here about your ferret mate As Cranfield says check under your neighbours shed, I lost both mine 2 weeks ago, 1 the neighbour found and popped in a box the other was out approx 6 hours, I found her under another neighbours shed. Don't give up, good luck SS
henry d
I had a mass break out once and they were all together in a neighbours shed. If I were you I`d go and see any local keepers and borrow as many live catch traps as possible and set them all over.I`ll bet just as you set the last one youll find it peering over your shoulder to see whars occuring Best of luck mate
flash
all the food put out has gone and there was to mch for the ferret alone, and my sister put the dogs out so i bet the weimerana had a snack, i caught doing it yesterday. cheers flash
pin
Do the dogs and ferrets get along? Just a thought, I might be a mile away, but it might be worth keeping the dogs out of the area in case the ferrets come back and run off becuase the dogs are there? Just an idea.. flash
its the other way round, the dogs are afraid of the ferrets as is the cat, all after there noses or tales got to close to the court.
flash
SHES BACK, my neihbour came round to ask me something and came through the back door and saw her little head poking out underneath the hutch, she hasnt lost any weight but did gobble the food down quick and as soon as she was in the hutch after some hugs, she was playing with her sister, very sweet. me and dad are gonna redo the wire on the hutch this weekend and completely make it ferret proof. im really glad as i though she may never come back or that she was dead. im the happiest boy in the world cheers for all the support lads, it was greatly appreciated flash

Ferret Master
I said she would be back. Perhaps you should start a club for owners of ferrets called Trinny and Suzanna? FM
