henry d
I was walking the dogs and it occurred to me that mankind,or is it personkind in these PC times, has had some off the wall ideas. The first that came to mind was the humble pencil.......who decided that putting a bit of lead/charcoal/graphite in a chunk of wood was a brilliant idea ? Anyway are there any you can think of ? Talking of pencils Henryd did you know that the Americans (had to be) spent 6 million dollars developing a biro that would write in space...the Russians just used a pencil now that's human ingenuity! Lord Geordie
I have had a few belting ideas but when sent to the companies they never even replied with a by your leave How about a kettle that boils in about HALF the time and keeps the water hot for hours (saving energy) and a BYPRODUCT of this would also mean no more boiling water injuries if the kettle is knocked over? I sent the plans off to Tefal and not a sausage I also came up with a nice (simple) design for a sink unblocker that would just go into your kitchen drawer. Not giving too many details away as i am waiting to hear about that one Toy hand grenades for kids that actually have a timer delay and go BANG A lot of design to go into it though so not a very cheap product unfortunatley :yp: LG

tiercel
Lord Geordie, I hope you patented these ideas before sending them to the companies. The chap that invented the thermal knock off switch for the electric kettle lives about 10 miles from me, and he still gets royalties from every switch made. He is worth a bob or two. Only because he patented it.
