gibby
Variation came through a few weeks ago and had my heart set on CZ Varmint in .17hmr... picked one up liked it, but my eyes were drawn to this beauty sitting on the rack. Have scoped her up, sighted her in on paper and now cant wait to go out and knock a few bunnies over. Love the feel of the gun, nice and light and the trigger is superb. Anyone use one and interchange the barrels? I already have a .22lr and Magnum, and would be looking into buying the .22lr barrell for the quad, do you reckon the plod would ask me to get rid of the other .22lr? What reasons could i have for the extra barrell and the .22lr? Thinking along these lines so im not taking 2 guns out all the time! Axe
Gibby, I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. As for the barrel well I would work along the lines that it is much safer for the barrel to tag along with me rather than another complete rifle. After all the barrel is useless without the receiver etc. Barrel changing is fairly straight forward but I have to remove my scope. So to make suer it goes back in the same place, I fit the rear of the forward scope mount so it sits flush with the breech. Then its just a matter of counting the clicks to your alternative zero, a couple of test shots and your done. I don't tend to use my .22LR too much, its not shooting (i'm not shooting) too well at the moment. I'm sending it back to the shop to have it checked over. Its a long story but it had to go to GMK when I first got it, as it wasnt cycling rounds properly.
deadeye ive
Hope you have many enjoyable outing's with it Gibby .............Bit noisy though even with a sak mod fitted and mine will come into play at the back end of the season for them lampshy critters ........Not a first chioce rifle for me at the moment due to a couple of complaints about the noise etc ! on one of my limited permissions ........Ok if your having the odd shot here and there but continuous shooting upset a few Dogs on my patch Should had took my Air rifle 2 x 22lr's might be a problem unless one was for dedicated target shooting
