BIG 5
that's a brute mate -- is it a PB ? I have had numerous fish around the 10lbs mark over the last 5 years. Two years ago I had one the same size but it was coloured and went back in the autunm. The Sea Trout on the East coast are big fish and I can only put it down to good feeding in the North Sea. I hope for a 15lbser one day, then that would be some achievement. I can't beat a Salmon of 24lbs but hand tailed two 30lb fish for a friend on the Tyne. Remember that THE PLEASURE IN FISHING IS NOT MEASURED BY THE SIZE AND QUANTITY though. Good luck.

sako751sg
Nice fish. Well done. Excuse my ignorance but can someone please tell ne the difference between a Sea trout and a salmon? Thanks. Just that I've always wondered. Popular belief now is that Sea Troot are just Broon Troot that go to sea and then come back to the river to spawn.Quite hard to tell the difference with some over salmon but once you deal with a few they are like chalk and cheese.Spots, spots above lateral line, eyes in conjuction to mooth are a few other ways of telling the difference and you can hardly pick a Sea troot up by the tail compared to a salmon.Pound for pound sea troot on the fly take some beating.
