hawkeye
Well about 3 weeks ago got a call about crows hitting barley and as i was going to London to see my 2 grand kids i rang KW and he filled in for me and ended up with a couple of good days... :good: Well I has happened again got a call Tuesday night from one of my farmers to say they had silaged a field of barley ( as it was so wet that's all they could do with it ). And if i was interested there were about 6 to 7 hundred crows on it. Told him i would organise someone as i was laid up with bloody sciatica and could hardly walk with out being in absolute agony.. Well i rang monkey hanger and he said he would go so i let the farmer know and as KW has been on this farm with me before it was OK I also rang John ( Mag 357 ) and he could not get there till after 10am.. Right bloody mobile rang 10 to 7 this morning just ignored it.. it started to ring again at 10 past its was KW he was there and could not find anyone. I told him they were expecting him and as i had shown him the field on Goggle earth the night before i told him to just get set up ( im as sick as a chip with being laid up and not getting any shooting in ). He did not help matters when he told me he had put about 200 geese of the field and there were literally hundred's of pigeons as well as crows on the field..Told him to pizz off i was going back to bed.. Must have taken him till 7.30am to get set up.....Next phone call was at 8.40am to tell me he had about 60 down and was having to go back to the motor for more cartridges ( ******* )At 12ish i decided to have a ride out in the motor to see how they were both doing. Got there and watched from the farm for a while they packed up at 1pm so we went to the local for a drink and a bite to eat end result was KW picked up 95 and there were at least another 20+ in the field behind him that got left for charlie to sort out. Mag357 ( John ) had only been there for a couple of hours and he picked up just over 40 with a couple in the next field he could not find... Im sat in agony and my 2 mates are having a whale of a time shooting my crows... PS Forgot to say KW has a couple of pics of most of his bag i think if he can work it out he might put them on here Edited July 19, 2012 by hawkeye
