Ricko
Managed to grab a couple of quick sessions on the range at Sealand this week. Yesterday, I spotted a real rabbit on the English Sporting Range, totally oblivious to the noise. I sent up a few Rising Teal (my favourite), didn't move as I aimed and fired. Sent along a Rampant Rolling Rabbit, gave it a blast, real rabbit didn't budge at all. Do you think it was: a ) deaf b ) conditioned to the noise c ) all of the above Edited July 28, 2012 by ricko

EdSolomons
They are used to the noise. Northampton ground is alive with them (all healthy) but you can shoot over and around them All day and they just don't care! They take it as background noise. Zapp
The pheasants and partridges around Sporting Targets completely ignore the sound of gunfire too.
HDAV
Jersey pistol club have 2 pet cock pheasants live on the range and seen others on clay grounds, treetops used to have a hare living behind a trap that would sit next to it!
Scully
There was a Hare spent most of the afternoon sat below one of the traps at Crabtree last weekend;seemed quite happy.

StuC
There used to be a 'squadron' of canadian geese at Northampton. I haven't seen them for a while though? As mentioned the rabbits are not bothered, or the hares, or the pigeons. Was there on Thursday and guys were shooting ABT right over the top of rabbits. scobydog
At the boar ground nr glossop you get grouse off the moor further up, they don't seem bothered by noise at all. But as none are aloud to be shot there maybe they don't see it is a threat.
