stalkersteve
Hi is there any other options? Insted of bluing a barrel? I spoke to my local Gun dealer and he said you can never get a good finish on bluing a barrel? And that there is no place that will do it? Any ideas??? fenboy
Rubbish , granted you may not get a good result if attempting it yourself with kit etc, PM RichardH on here , he has just done mine and it looks like new , and very reasonable price too ! FalconFN
Is there a good reason why you can't powder coat a barrel? I've just done my wife's bike for 40 quid and it's hard wearing and waterproof, ideal really.

It's baked on in an oven I don't know if it will be too hot to insure the heat treating of the metals will hold.
Brown Sauce
Sent my barrels to Nigel Teague, £228 lighter, but well worth it.

Steve Unless that was referring to a DIY job, not a professional hot blue job, I'd been looking for a better gun dealer to deal with! JMart
Hot bluing is definately a job for the professonals. As is Duracoating.. I had a S/A duracoated 2/3 years ago, but its not a best London sidelock. Very hard wearing, No complaints.
