apache
Minox punch well above their weight. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/MINOX-BF-8x42-Binocular-black-/180954682855?pt=UK_Photography_Binoculars_Monoculars&hash=item2a21bd55e7 You might find a second hand pair for your budget. The 7 day shop ones are ok (I had a pair but traded them in for £200 off some Zeiss RF bins) http://www.7dayshop.com/7dayshop-10x42-waterproof-fogproof-binoculars-ref-7day1042?q=binocular&sl=sl
Gutty Boots
I use Bushnell H20, 10 x 42 on the marshes, served me well for a few years now. Think they are around your budget.
xav
I have the Opticron Oregon LE WP 8x32: very compact and light and under £100. Have a look at the various reviews on the web, they're all excellent.

nic
just dont look through the really expensive ones at a game fair... you then measure all the others against them and they cost more than i want to pay....
kent
just dont look through the really expensive ones at a game fair... you then measure all the others against them and they cost more than i want to pay.... Yeah, having that issue myself as day to day i use my Swavoski 7x50 but they are heavy when your also carrying deeks, food and drink and a few birds etc and are also taking a hammering not to mention risking braining yourself jumping gutters when you forget to tuck them in your wader tops!. Keep looking through cheaper ones and thinking "heck if i need to spend £500 for something half right but not equal i will stick to what i have" Have shot with many who use cheapo glass and often you just cannot tell one duck from another at range. could be a shelly or a mallard, a teal or a widgeon, a pink or a grey! Terry P
I've got the 10x42, amazing, the clarity is spot on and a joy to use, but most importantly incredible value for money
Zulu
I use Vortex Diamondback 10 x 42 ( around £170 ) , lifetime warranty and good optics for the money .
Reabrook
I've got the 10x42, amazing, the clarity is spot on and a joy to use, but most importantly incredible value for money I have the same pair though I'm sure when I bought them 3 or 4 years ago they were on £9.99 and not the 35 quid advertised now. They are one of the most abused bits of kit in my bag. Yesterday I washed last years mud off them in the Estuary dried them off on my waders and used them to see that the pack of Widgeon sitting on a sandbar 300 yards away were in fact OYSTERCATCHERS!!!! Can't really fault them at the price
Anth6568
I bought a pair of hawk nature trek 8 x 32 in green. I got them from uttings for around £80. Just had then up at lindisfarne and they proved very good. Never misted up as it said in the tin! Would like something German but can't justify spending all that money!!!
