EdSolomons
Had a few cases a while back. Did the job as you would expect 34g of 5s to do it!
motty
I have used them in the past. Only crazy or rich people would consider using them on pigeon - they are far too expensive and that sort of load is not necessary to kill pigeons. Imperfection
I've bought them in the past and they are effective-especially on crows, but they're expensive when compared to other brands.
dougall
Great on high pheasant! Sat in a hide with slightly iffy gun mount you will know you have used them if you have a busy day....agree with Motty bit too much for most decoying.. Whitebridges
I've shot two slabs of these, a few years back mind. Personally I didn't like them, well over the top for shooting pigeon over deeks. Very good shell for high tree roost shooting though and pheasants. Also remember the days when the birds are half interested and won't pitch in the pattern and sail on by? Well Digger ( George Digweed ) designed this load and he could consistently kill anything rangey ( like 60 to 70 yards plus ) and this shell will kill long stuff. 95% of us are nowhere near his level of marksmanship so what he loads in his gun is barely relevant. If I can't get the birds in the pattern properly to the 20 bore i'd try again another day. Edited September 21, 2012 by Whitebridges
Guest topshot_2k
I used them in the past but now use clear pigeon or Eley HB pigeon as they are available in fibre wad
Catweazle
Also remember the days when the birds are half interested and won't pitch in the pattern and sail on by? So maybe a box could save you from blanking.
chrispti
An Oz of 5's are a good all round cart. Doesn't mince the close targets but still good enough to cleanly kill at range, be it pigeons pheasant, partridge or woodcock.
mr williamson
Rottweil 36g of 6 shot (english 5 1/2) they will do the job as good. At 15 quid cheaper a slab
