Salop Matt
As above really, when do you start ? I normally start first week of feb for 6-8weeks ! But is there anything wrong with starting in november ? ATB Matt
dougall
obviously it is easiest when leaves are off.Having said that I often go and stand under a few favoured little copses anytime of the year.
al4x
traditionally it is after the shooting season for the obvious reasons. I don't bother till the start of Feb and then only saturdays as most of the local estates have people out and it moves the birds about. Fatcatsplat
If you have land where there is no game shooting i'd just wait til you can see them. I had a little walk through one of my spinneys the other weekend and the foliage was as thick as a thick thing - No leaves dropping anywhere yet as far as i can see
sitsinhedges
Last year it was the beginning of November for me, as soon as the leaves had dropped and the foliage died down enough to find them once shot. Other land I have is after the shooting finishes.
