Mikaveli
http://www.bbc.co.uk/nature/19822198 I think the article fairly represented each side. Nice to see for a change.
.philmypower.
Interesting read. Thanks Roy. I'm still on the fence with regards to lead. I'm not an experienced wildfowler but have found I don't always get a clean kill with steel. Be interesting what people's views n this are
Beretta28g
Lead is better than steel. Easier on the teeth too. I would prefer to use lead, but do use steel, but use absoulutly monster loads for clean kills, maybe i need to use heavy shot!
henry d
What an absolute load of tosh. The dead birds were from 1971 to 2010, can`t remember when the ban on lead was introduced in England but in Scotland it was 2005! Therefore 5 years worth of dead birds against 34 years worth of dead birds. Lies, damned lies and statistics.
al4x
even more tosh Henry is we can still use lead over many areas of water so really that makes it all a load of ********.

wymberley
Does anyone happen to know who Arnold Chapkis is in relation to this subject?
Scully
True or not,it's flammable stuff, and now out there, for all to see. Those organisations amongst us who are anti shooting, anti privilege, will be lining up to throw fuel on this. Can our organisations cope?It may be time to find out. guest1957
The WWT are undertaking a concerted press effort to undermine the LAG and get lead shot banned by using the media to manipulate public opinion. This goes hand in hand with the guardian piece. They don't care if it takes some dodgy science along the way.
