stripey999
just made my batch of sloe gin, going to have a go at raspberry brandy and blackberry brandy, do i just make it the same as sloe gin - 140 gram suger, half bottle of brandy , then fill with berries ? 140 grams of sugar sounds about right for what I did. I prefer mine to be sweet but I did leave it all in the kilner for about 4 months and it worked out pretty well if I say so myself.
Big Al
Werthers Original vodka is supposed to be good. Sounds like the kind of dodgy poteen recipe you get sold out of the back of estate cars over here. Brandy ball flavour poteen is quite common over here and is surprisingly pleasant (so I'm told!) Thunderbird
How are we all getting on with this? I have completely drawn a blank on getting any sloes locally this year. I might go out this week if I have time and see if any rose-hips are still about and do a batch of rose-hip voddy. Apart from the blackcurrant voddy on the go that's it so far
joe1978
Vodka, Brambles, cinnamon, cloves, sugar. I'm ******** if I can remember the quantities but it's really really nice. I still have a litre or so left from 2 years ago. Joe
Thunderbird
I did bramble brandy last year and it was OK but a bit rich. Interesting you made it with vodka though. Might try that next year.
