Are we having Christmas get together this year?

Last years went well, if we want one this year I have two suggestions, The Country Bumpkin (as per last year) 24 people maximum, or a Fish n Chip restaurant, (my friend has a really good one in Islington) "Fish Central" visit their web site, this will cater for large numbers and can be open to our friends nationwide.

Just for starters

Country Bumpkin, bring your own alcohol night as before.

I have been offered 3 December dates, 2 Saturdays and 1 Friday. One of the Saturdays is provisional at the moment.

I appreciate Saturdays are difficult with Game shooting etc. 1st December-7th December (Friday) -8th December Provisional

What ever date we go for,(if we go the Country Bumpkin route) I will host a drinks before hand at the "Bah Humbug".

I will try get a Menu, and post it up tomorrow.

Cheers

Terry

MENU

As ever its 7pm for 7.30, you get everything on the menu plus a locally produced bread basket, it s a relaxed evening with a single sitting, the dishes coming out steadily throughout the evening, if youre expecting to get in and out quick then please don't come, its about the social aspect of dining as well as the fabulous food.

Canapés Sloe Cordial, Potted Rabbit& Goose Pate

Starter Game Consommé served with Caramelised Red Onion Roll

Main Creamy Pheasant Pie, Wild Horseradish Mash & Braised Red Cabbage

Dessert Chestnut Chocolate Torte with Rosehip Fool.

Does it count I spent most of my time in Herts?

I suppose Saturday will be the most popular choice, I'm game shooting on Saturday 1st December but will do my best to get to the Bah Humbug for a pre nosh drink. The 8th would be better for me, but as I'm an interloper, will go with the Herts majority.

I think the new PW member Mrs PhilR would also like to attend, I'd like her to so I can get driven home!

Terry it looks like it's the special Wobbly wheelbarrow.
