Gordon R
I don't like them, but they shoot far better than they look.
Malik
I don't like them, but they shoot far better than they look. So they are alright to shoot...? Just not everyones cup of tea in the looks department?
HDAV
It just felt awful when trigger was pulled hard to describe and was quite a while ago I guess I am lucky that I have a gun that fits me well..... I seem to remember the stock felt odd under recoil harsh despite the big rubber bit. Best try before you buy.... There were reports of the sticks coming away from the actions not sure how prevalent this actually was evil elvis had one iirc I refer to the black ice composite only not the wood ones above Edited January 3, 2014 by HDAV
Gordon R
Malik - I have heard tales of the synthetic stock flexing out of the action, but I have not witnessed this myself. I shot one of the wooden furniture variety a couple of years ago. I thought the looks were weird - odd looking forend - but had a go. It felt surprisingly solid. The top rib sloped down towards the muzzle, meaning it shot high - all other things being equal. Trigger pulls were okay. The main like was the balance - it just felt good. They are still not my cup of tea - it would be a boring world if we all liked the same. If the looks float your boat, I would give one a try. jimmyb79
I had a wooden cynergy once and the comment that they shoot better than they look is definitely true. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and if you shoot well with it, you've bought the right gun.
delburt0
Needless to say as the op of the thread, I did get a cynergy, (lasted for 4 months) Could never get into it , I no you should give everything a chance which 4 months I thought was long enough, After the 4 months it was still like swinging a bag of spuds on the end of a fishing rod, :(. :( :(...... jimmyb79
Haha! Didn't see how old the topic was! What did you end up with?
Dekers
Not looked at either for a long time but as others have mentioned there is more than a close association between the two brands. I fell in love with Miroku probably about 10 years ago when I picked up whatever model it was at the time, and it fitted and balanced like it had been made for me, I am happy with my Berettas but that memory lives on and the Miroku is probably the only other brand that would temp me away from Beretta. Scully
Both Brownings and Miroku (and Winchester for that matter) have always fitted me well. They are balanced well and just seem to come up bang on the button each time. Have never shot a Cynergy but one of the lads in the syndicate has the 'black ice' version and it came up just as well as all the other Brownings I've tried.
