Mr Rizzini
I would be very interested to hear on how far you estimate your longest pigeon to have been shot from? Could you also name the cartridge and shot size etc. Looking forward to hearing your stories
Will Poon
Clay pigeon or real pigeon ??
Will Poon
If its clay pigeon it'll be 86 ft away above me as that's how high the tower is at my club , best fun is with my browning maxus clipping it then as it falls giving it another 2 shots just for satisfaction , Cheddite 28g 7.5 .but then told 2 shots only will :( :( :D

Tod
My best is 60 - 65 yards with special pigeon 32g no6, though i have paced one out that a friend shot at 75 yards.
Muddy Funker
I've paced one out at around 75 as well but to be fair it was shot as it was flying up and away from me. I imagine 20 - 25 yards of that figure was it falling out of the sky.
Hamster
English 7's are my favourite but have also used plenty of 6.5's and 7.5's, once or twice tried 5's and ended up fetching a few pricked ones from two fields away, prolly around the 450 yard mark if that counts. al4x
I've had the odd one at about 70 yards up, but had been using alphamax BB's on squirrel drays at the time, the couple I shot also had exit wounds
Catweazle
About 40yds out for me, Supreme Game No5.
Boristhedog
704 yards, I thought at first it was a hare but it was so far away it might have been a pigeon....
Guest cookoff013
i`ve seen a silly distance shot using 36g #5s. a huge flock came in and friend shot at the front and clipped one of the back ones ! unbeleivable.
Beretta28g
Well to be honest i dont shoot em with a shotgun, too unsporting, i use a sub 12 ft/lb air rifle with a bog roll tube for a scope with bits of cotton for crosshairs. I can still wack them easily at 800 yards but if their flying i have to reduce that to 700yds
