Seamus
I recently found the following picture whilst going through my mothers things and thought I'd post it on here as a bit of rabbiting history for those of you who may be interested. The fellow on the right holding the rabbits is my great grandfather. The photo was taken approximately 1930, in a village called Stow Longa near Huntington where my family used to farm. Rimfireboy
Them were the days. I read an article about rabbiting in the early 1900's. they were shooting hundreds in a session. Pre mixi I suppose. Nice to see the old photos, thanks for sharing.

Blackpowder
Really great period photograph, looks like the gent on the middle is the "sportsman , clean shoes collar and tie, the gamekeeper on the right with rabbits and the ferret man on left. Great stuff thanks for sharing. Blackpowder
Katzenjammer
What a great picture. Very evocative of the era. Hard times in the 30's.
Gobfish
Fantastic pic, I love the way people dressed better to go rummaging around in bramble bushes then than people dress to go to the pub on a Friday night now....... take pics .......... rather like these fine gentlemen, a hundred years from now no one will have a clue who you were (except of course for Seamus's grandfather) but the pics will show a way of life and the people that led it
Seamus
Thanks for the replies, I'm going on a bit of a sentimental nostalgia trip here! For those of you who think farming is hard now, here is my Great Grandfather undertaking some harvesting.
