Gibbybox
Afternoon folks! I'm on the hunt for some reasonably priced boots for use in the field, when clay shooting and for general hill walking. I've came across a variety of Hi-Tec brown leather boots which seem to fit the bill and wondered if anyone has any experience with them? I've listed them in order of price: Eurotrek Waterproof Hiking Boot (in brown leather) http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hi-Tec-Mens-Eurotrek-Waterproof-Hiking/dp/B0020HR7NO Coniston Waterproof Hiking Boot http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hi-Tec-Mens-Coniston-Waterproof-Hiking/dp/B0020HR7NE Altitude IV WP Hiking Boot http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hi-Tec-Mens-Altitude-Hiking-Boot/dp/B0020HR7MU Vlite Altitude Ultra Luxe Waterproof WPi Hiking Boot http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hi-Tec-Vlite-Altitude-Waterproof-Hiking/dp/B0035ER006/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top If you have any suggestions of other brands of boots (preferably brown leather) I'd be delighted to hear! My budget can stretch to £70 or so but I'd rather spend less if possible. A' the best Gibby

PhilR
Had a pair of the Eurotrek for a couple of years. They haven't leaked yet although they don't get a great deal of use.
matone
I`ve had a couple of pairs of Hi-tech boots, great value knockabout boots but wouldn`t recommend them as a serious walking boot.

Gibbybox
Thanks for all the suggestions, I think I might go for those Brashers as they seem like a serious boot! I'll give Go Outdoors a look, cheers! Gibby
clayandgame
Try www.riversideoutdoor.co.uk or look on their ebay shop. Gary usually has some good priced boots and he is great to deal with.

mr salt
i use dealer boots quicker to put on and take off, or a pair of wellingtons when its wet.
Gibbybox
Washerboy, the first ones you linked to look just the ticket! I think it's between them and cheaper Hi-Techs. I actually have a pair of dealer boots but they don't provide enough support or grip for hiking up and down hills, good for clays or dodging about if it's dry I suppose. "I've got my Brashers, I'll be fine" he said.... and much to my surprise after stomping around in water for 2hrs his feet were still dry.. bear-uk
Just got some of the hi-tec brown boots from T K max for £40. No idea of model, but have used them for window cleaning and shooting. So far no problems considering all of the flooding around my area.
