triumphant59
Mate of mine has applied for renewal of his sgc. His 17 year old son had a repremand from the police about 2 years ago for stealing an icecream from a supermarket. His concern is does he have to declare this to police when they visit to inspect guns etc?
Paddy Galore!
i very much doubt it, as long as he keeps the keys to the gun safe hidden from the thieving toe rag
TaxiDriver
Application form asks you to list any convictions YOU ('your mate' have) that's not to say that they won't know about his sons reprimand and might mention it, just by way of checking wether he's straightened out
Alanl50
Its your mates application so no he does not, but all persons living at your mates address will be vetted anyway so his son's activities will come out, due to the nature of the reprimand it shouldnt be a problem, just tell your mate to be honest and tell the visiting FEO anyway, it should be OK. Dekers
NO, how far back and sideways would you have to go, "distant Uncle Fred had a parking ticket 55 years ago?" YOU!
bi9johnny
They will know and will mention it if it needs to be mentioned. A mate of mine moved in with his lad while he does his self build and he had to keep his guns at his brothers down the road as his lad was a dingbat

gixer1
Depends on if your mate wants to keep his guns in the freezer next to the ice creams

triumphant59
Thanks for responces lads, reason I asked was that when I was inspected for mine the officer wanted to know if my children had any record, they are 14 and 16. Sounds as if they will probably know about mates sons repremand anyway.
