Salty
Yeah why should we have to move over to the States to enjoy a puff? Totally out of order I agree!
Salty
Yeah why should we have to move over to the States to enjoy a puff? Totally out of order I agree! Just to qualify this, it was a joke. I didn't want the inevitable backlash from the pipe & slippers brigade, polished their SxS shotguns by a roaring fire of spaniel hair and twigs. guest1957
Which bit is a total joke? Criminalisation of drugs was only a 20th century development, so hardly longstanding practice. Unfortunately the 'drugs are bad, if you take drugs you're bad' is the extent of the debate when the topic is raised. Of course, it is a whole lot more complex than that. HDAV
What are the gun laws like in those states? Makes sense legalise the lot and tax it, take the profit out of it for the criminal element let the dope heads get on with it they do anyway........it's not like it being illegal stops it is it.... gixer1
You could always lock the ejection port on your hatstand MPA open, pop in a half score and toke away on the end of the barrel while holding a lighter to the ejection port a-la-platoon style.... ...finally a use for a hatstand that a regular over and under or sxs can't fulfil Edited December 6, 2012 by gixer1
evo
i think to legalise it is a joke, dont agree with drugs whatsoever, and i also think you should not be allowed to own a firearm of any description if you do take drugs,in my opinion,,if i had my way ,random drug tests should be done on all firearm cert holders,,theres a few on here who would lose their licence thats for sure,,but thats how i feel,,and dont start the Alcohol is a drug bull,,but lets be honest how many on here who smoke pot told their FAO cos i,ll tell ya ,,,,NONE now tell me why you didnt tell him,,,i know why ya didnt ,,,cos you would NOT have been granted your licence if you had,,,, ok made cuppa waiting for the onslaught now

guest1957
I'm not sure anyone on here smokes cannabis. I certainly don't, but criminalising it doesn't appear to solve any problems it may cause. Of course you have assumed that anyone who isn't condemning the development is a stoner. Such assumptions are common when there aren't good arguments to be made. p.s. test away, just tell me where to aim... 39TDS
They banned alcohol in the states not all that long ago. It seemed to make sense to them to legalise it in the end, maybe the same with drugs. As said, people do it anyway legal or not. My own personal view is that nobody should touch a firearm if they have any alcohol in their system. I bet that gets more of a reaction! HDAV
Alcohol not a drug........ Don't agree with drugs, aspirin, penecilin, viagra, prozac without a prescription the last 3 are classB? Why do people take drugs? Expensive, potentially lethal, why do it? To annoy your parents? Look big infront friends ? My self I just don't understand it... Watch a few of the American reality cop shows then, you see plenty of violent stoners, hell it is even mentioned in a Donovan song, Sunny Goodge Street, to quote precisely "Violent Hash smoker shook a chocolate machine, Bobbed in a feeding scene!" Go onto any main street in any main city in any country of the world and you WILL find violent drunk's at one time of the other - can you honestly say the same of stoners??? I have NEVER seen a fight in Amsterdam, Alkmaar, Emmen, Denhelder, Assen - all prelavent areas for pot smoking....and i've spent a fair bit of time working there... I personally do not smoke it and have not done for about 10-15 years (my type of work involves regular drug screen's) although i did in my teens at college etc. and I can honestly say that it was extremely nice and amusing... as with anything else i guess it's everything in moderation. Drive By
The intolerance of some people is quite astounding. Surely it's down to personal choice - people are entitled to their opinion but it is exactly that.an opinion where as some seem to word things like it's a statement of fact...
