Well, what a day. Met the gang at 0830, (Tug was there at 8am, my fault pal) One by one they turned up. Tug (dave) the Ginger italian (Rich) Will1994 (er....will) and his mate Sam. Scottommo, Bob (Evo) Alexf, Myself and my good friend Leanne. Jonny couldnt stay, but turned up to make his apologies. We headed down to the fields in a couple of cars, to some nice weather for a change. The gang knew it was going to be hard graft, as there was a hell of lot of scrub and bramble to clear. It was a pleasure meeting up with the lads i know, and the ones i dont. the day was meant to be one of fun and giggles. A;so, looks like we have contverted a young lady into the sporting life. She might be a member on here pretty soon. The pics and vids explain it. Many thanks to those for helping, and Dave and Rich for their expert tutelage. I do hope that even if nobody learnt owt, they all had a good laugh anyway.

Well it wasn't a huge bag, but we more than made up for it with good company.

Hopefully those of you who have never been ferreting before got a good insight, and it certainly proved that it's not all plain sailing when it comes to working heavy cover. One good bolt to the net, and one dig to a kill.

Looks like you all had a great day out, and well done for organising the event this is truly pigeon watch at it's very best.

I have just got in to ferreting with 4 PW members who have been most helpful and have given superb guidance and instruction to my son and grandson (handlebar and handlebar2). Most of handlebar2's nets and other equipment plus the Ferrets(Colinlad) were given to him by PW members and are soon due their first outing, you will hear how we get on.

Stealth Stalker (Neil) Catcherpelt (Ian) The pelt man (Ian) and Jim the fish (Jim) are a great bunch of lads on the five visits to a new permission we have had getting onto 250 rabbits and next weekend we expect a bumper harvest (that will spoil the day).

Keep up the good work MM.

Got them setting nets and everything, good learners who were prepared to listen.

It was hard work, and it's always nice to get a couple more bunnies - but it's not always bumper bags and it's best not to spoil them too early ;)
