The only limitation I have found with all bucket seats is their fixed height.

I find them too high, or (mostly) too low in most circumstances.

Having the ability to adjust the height of your seat is a major advantage when shooting for long periods and over different terrain.

You also need a flat bit of ground to put them on, which is not always available.

I have one, but I don't use it often and I would not have it as my only seat.

The answer to your prayers is the STAG ALL TERRAIN SEAT from Cabella's. It rotates, is adjustable for height 16" to 23". they claim it will carry 300ib.

I have had one for over a year now and it does everything it says on the tin. all four legs are adjustable so uneven ground is no problem. it is robust and strong. There are only two downsides that i have found, the cushion is not good enough, (I've replaced mine) and the legs are a little bit fiddly to adjust and fit until you get the hang of it. But once set up it is a fantastic seat to shoot from. The only other downside is the price, mine cost me £110 in total from the USA including shipping and a bit of import duty. but worth every penny in terms of comfort and practicality. I wouldn't be without it now.

You can buy the exact chair from Pigeon Watch - it's £67 + £8.80 for p&p. Big thumbs up for it (which is why we stock it!)
