scotslad
+1 for equifleece, absolutely brilliant for a spaniel not needed as much for labs thou. Give ur dog a quick towell down stick the fleece on, i'm not the type off person for dog jackets but i do think they are great. A couple off boys on my shoot have cut up there own old fleeces and adapted them for there dogs after seeing mine. In the old days u sometimes would stick ur dog in a hessian/tatty(potato) sack with its head sticking out same type off idea keep the heat in and absorb the moisture
Actionpigeons
Not sure about this one as one of the post says, the dog cant tell you if its over heating. I use a mat for the dog when shooting in the snow, ice. you can take it away to take your sporting pictures. its one of those that you put sleeping bags on, cut down I get three out of one. yes I know its a bit blue but never had a problem with birds shying away because of it. keep your dog warmish when shooting and a warm kennel at home and it should be fine here is one I took earlier...lol . White Lodge
+1 for the Equafleece, they are not the cheapest but they certaintly work. My dog was a bit unsure of it but when he is cold and wet he seems to like it on. This assumtion is based on the fact that he hasn't ripped it to shreds trying to get it off. If he gets too hot he just go the porch.
