Which Hoover?!?

I find that which ever cleaner you buy , they all end up not being as efficiant once you've had um a few months. 40 years ago, they used to sell a really heavy metal cleaner, door to door they asked you to hoover a mattress before they arrived and then showed you the lbs of crud still sucked out with their product.., i think it was American, it was the dogs do das. If anyone can tell me the make and if they are still going I would be much obliged. They were very expensive but would pull the skin off a cow... from Auntie.

Nilfisk perhaps? - they match the description but are of course plastic now. There's two in the shed somewhere used / abused at work for over 20 years. The hoses gave out and have awaited replacement for way too long but the bodies still work like new.

Gone through all sorts including Electrolux, Vax, Dyson and god knows how many others and they were all absolute rubbish in comparison to the Henry.

Kirby

I used to sell a hoover called vorwerk some years ago and every house i went to with a kirby ( about £1000 then) bought one. The basic model then was about £350 ranging up to about £750 if my memory serves me right.

If I had to use the hoover it would be vorwerk all the way for me. other than that henry :good:
