dadrew
OK so ive established that I need to be using 70mm carts in the Escort as anything shorter dosent seem to cycle to well. But what load can I get away with. Any reccomendations on a good, not to expensive cartridge, idealy with fibre wad that will happily cycle through the Escort? BerettaSV10
For the moment I am using express english sporters and Hull superfasts as the cartridge I was using is no longer availible.
dadrew
For the moment I am using express english sporters and Hull superfasts as the cartridge I was using is no longer availible. Seems a bit of a daft question but judging by your screen name you use a Beretta, really looking for what people are using in the Escort. Sorry, if Ive got that wrong! hedge
The gun seems more particular to cartridge length than load. They are meant to cycle 24g and maybe down to 21g. I used mine on crows at the w/e and used 70mm 32g 5's and they worked well. The crows didn't like them! I hve also used HB Pigeon (67mm) 32g 6.5's and they are quite good. Not sure what the others are. Buy a box of a few and see what it likes.
markws80
Been shooting my escort for a bit now One thing that has been ******* me off is it dose not cycle short cartridge less then 70mm or light loads I have keep the gun very clean new O ring and light oil try it all (done a lot of reading up about it in other posts) So i tryed somethink i cut the recoil spring down slowly i cut 1 coil of at a time put some light/short loads in and fired then off at some clays to see how it cycles and it got better and better the more coils i cut off the gun will cycle down to 65mm and light loads down to 24g JUST DONT CUT TO MANY COILS OFF
henry d
....or just buy a gun you don`t need to adapt to the cartridge, it will probably be cheaper in the long run. (INRS)
aga man
depends what you want to shoot with them. 30gm clear pigeon will be fine for vermin/pigeons and kent velocity 28gm for clays both cycle realy well in the hatsan and are £45-£50 a slab. not sure about lighter loads as don't do much claying. topguns
If its not clean the bitch won't work nice to read about the spring cutting thing! Mine leaves the last cartridge stuck, they feel a little cheap and nasty will get rid of mine later this year bought it at a low price monkey metal. Continental Shooter
I load 27 and go through my escort nae bother! but the 24 from the clay ground are fine as well on mine, but heard some people have probems with them. think is just a matter of trying a few and see how they are! sharkbait
I put through my escort Kent velocity 70mm 28 gram no. 7 1/2 fibre work a treat , just remember to keep your gun clean, that's the only downside to semis
