Imperfection
had a breakfast in a Little chef once and only once ,over priced , dry fried and had to cover it with brown sauce to give it some taste , I remember having one in a Little Chef and the sausage was boiled!!! It still looked raw despite actually being cooked.
Blackpowder
Further to the worst breakfast my best by far outside my own walls was in Ulster circa 1989. A four day trip reporting on the commercial fishing industry around Portavogie and Ardglass had seen me staying with the CEO of the local fishermans Assoc. . The man was so busy flying back and forth to Edinburgh and London I dont think he had heard of breakfast, other than cereal! The final day I was off north towards Larne and the ferry with a final stop over at a farmhopuse B & B. The lady of the house was a gem, if you can remember the houskeeper in Dr Finlays Casebook, thats an age give away if ever, she was her mirror image. Would I like porridge for breakfast? Still looking for that fabled Ulster Fry I could only nod my head in disappointment. Duly at the breakfast table it arrived and damm good it was too. Would I like anopther bowl? For a good job my answer was no. Because my lady disappeared to the kitchen to return very shortly with an ashet, that's a big plate, with the fabled Ulster Fry. It had everything from Scotland plus other bits and bobs never seen before or since. It was delicious, as madam said,"sure now that will set you up for the day" and surely it did. bobt
Every single McDonalds I have been to has a ruddy great photo of what you're buying on the menu boards. It should come as no surprise when that's exactly what you get. Jesus H Christ. but it never even looks like the photo

officerdibble777
McD's breakfasts are blessings from above - Best thing on the menu by far!! Double sausage muffin, hash brown and a large cappuccino - Lovely stuff!!! (Oh and the biscuits referred to on page 1 from the US McD's are like scones - They serve them in the US all the time and they are rubbish on their own, but great with gravy - You get them all over the place) the gravy should not be mistaken for the brown stuff like Ah Bisto, the gravy is a creamy peppery gravy with bits of sausage through it and very good on your biscuits
beeredup
At the end of the day it's a maccy d's breakfast why would anyone expect Michelin star esque dining? The breakfasts at maccys is probably the best food they serve all day the coffee is rather good too. At least you didn't go to a little chef and leave bereft of cash and a feeling of being used! We still have highway men in this country and they hide under two banners one is little chef and the other lot sell you fuel to put in your car! Schern
I like the big breakfast meal. I always stack it together though so chuck the scrambled egg and sausage in the muffin.
