Tis1979
What's people's thoughts on this attack in Bromley "Fox creeps into house and into a nursery where a four week baby was sleeping and dragged the infant from its cot" mother heard screaming and ran in to find fox biting the child's hand severing its finger. Very sad for the family but lucky the fox didn't do more damage. Talks now of a cull in London but how will they go about that? Live trap I guess and then disposed of, we suffer from urban fox being collected in towns then dumped in the countryside now, I think this could Become more frequent. Fisheruk
Sorry had the same thoughts as you were writing your post. No they won't cull them, they will just live trap them and take them out to the country for release.
TIGHTCHOKE
Indeed I think you are both probably correct in your assumption that if anything is done it will be along the lines of trap and release. Just more for us to shoot out in the countryside. I can remember reports from years ago of a van load of 56 foxes released after treatment by one of the animal charities. They were so caring they let them all go in the same area!
gixer1
Fox saw a free meal - it did what wild animals do - end of, no need for everyone to go all drama queen and call for every fox to be shot... Terrible for the child but its a predictable result if a hungry animal gets in. Regards, Gixer
sako751sg
Im hoping the RSPCA and Brian sideshow bob May will come along shortly and reassure me that foxes only eat worms and ***** nappies and thats why it happened.
Tis1979
Fair comment gixer but the fox didn't see an easy meal or happen upon it it smelt it and wondered through a house with people to find it. I know this doesn't happen often but that's a couple in two years.
henry_o
The RSPCA said that the fox did it because it was scared.... This is obviously a load of *******. It is clear to see that they won't face reality yet again.

Canis
Trap them release them in the country, we all shoot them. Problem solved If only it was that easy - do you realise how many of these £$%^&"£ " things are in london/the london fringe?. drive 3 miles at midnight in bromley and you will see at least 3 foxes scavenging on the streets. I bet there population density is far far larger than the countryside. the urban fox is simply not scared of man anymore because of the number of humans that feed them and their only predator is the car! .
