Idiots At Worsley

I'm getting fed up with Worsley a little bit, arrived today and purchased 100 clays,

first of all there are hardly and stands open and secondly im getting annoyed with all the stuck up idiots.

I'm getting sick of groups of 6 people roaming round, doing 5 or 6 pairs each on a stand and when I finally do get a go on a stand a group of 6-8 people stroll up behind me and stand 2" away from me looking over my shoulder trying to force me off.

Any ideas on another clay ground in the NW?

If you dont like people shooting in groups and people waiting behind you while your shooting i would take up fishing as its a pretty normal shooting scene really.

What or who are 'stuck up idiots'?

I have no issues with people waiting behind me, however when a group of 6 people stand right behind me (inches away) looking over my shoulder trying to hurry me up, again I have no issues with waiting for a stand but when a group of 6 people are doing 10+pairs each.its not really fair.

Whilst I was shooting today a group of 6+ rolled up behind me, moved my second gun from the stand, placed it on the floor and then put their guns in place. I suppose his is normal for shooting, maybe i will try fishing!

Last time i visited on a Sunday, whilst I was shooting a guy waiting behind me bumped into, surely it doesn't hurt to give someone little space or maybe this is normal and again I should try fishing?

Interestingly despite your smart **** comment I have had a look on your website and your pictures seem to show the other people waiting behind you giving you at least 2 meters of space whilst you shoot!

Find it hard to credit that anyone would move a gun out of a rack or bump into anyone.

I won't say I have never seen bad behaviour at clays, but never anything like the incidents described - at Worsley or anywhere. They should have been put straight.

I've been to Worsley at least 30 times and these are 2 extreme incidents, maybe my nylon slip with the single barrel AYA I was given for free wasn't worthy of a place in the stand compared with their 2k+ guns in expensive leather slips?

**They didnt lie it on the floor they place it on the floor proped up against the wood work

Man up then.If someone did that to me i would have chucked their piece on the floor and replaced it back with mine.If he/she then wanted a go,i would have straight arm clothe lined them to the throat leaving them in a heap.Man up,or i call bull ****.

So in a place with lots of guns I should start hitting people?

First time ive been called that but hey ho. could be because i asked them to give me some room that they stood back a little, try it next time.

As for moving your gun and putting it on the floor, did you ask them why.

if someone did that to my gun they would be told to put it back in the stand and to do it fast...no way would i put up with that, i used to shoot at a club and a local guy used to stand behind me if i missed one he would chuckle and say "your behind that son" or "your above that son"...when it was his turn he couldnt hit a thing so i stood behind him laughing loudley and gave it him back.....he never did it again..

i hate people who couldnt hit a barn door at 10 feet trying to tell other people what to do or how to shoot, they should look at ther own shooting before commenting on others, some one did stand behind me really close once and i turned round and asked him if he wanted to get in my pants he looked all sheepish and sloped off..

I think the point is,you have managed to come onto a website and whinge about things that maybe, and maybe didnt even happen, when if that had actually happened most sensible folk would have challenged their actions. If you dont grow a set folk will carry on steamrolling you and treating you like a gimp.

I'm struggling here.

The crowd have been labelled "stuck up", a gun removed from a rack and placed on the floor, shooters bumping into other shooters, but no words appear to have been spoken. Just a bit odd.

I have not said that everyone at Worsley is an idiot, I have said there are some idiots at Worsley.

Who said they were not confronted?

Ill be honest the gun move today, I moved on and had to bite my tongue or I would have ended up being banned from Worsley,in terms of the guy who bumped into me last year he said sorry etc but that doesn't make it OK. My issues is with people crowing around less than a foot away from me. I can keep asking people to give me space but surely out of common decency and respect I shouldn't need to ask?

To be fair I have had many good visits to Worsley but the last couple of times I have been there has been so many stands out of action etc I'm considering else where. Plus there are a lot of "stuck up" people who seem to look down their nose at others staff included!

If anyone touched my gun whilst it was on the rack I'd crack them. I can see where your coming from with the que'ing tho. Had a group breathing down my knecking at park lodge when I took my missis's brother for the first time. They soon ****** off when you have a pop tho.

sorry but I have never seen such comments and irresponsible attitude from shooters if you are going round and going to give some one a smack on the nose you don't deserve a certificate

Have the people of Manchester completely given up on speech?

1. They're not trying to force you off the stand, they're seeing what you're shooting.

2. If you ask them to stand back a bit, they probably will.

3. If you say that somebody took your gun out of a rack, you're probably lying.

4. If you punch someone, at a shooting ground, over something so trivial, you should lose your SGC. (That also goes for "turning round with a loaded gun").
