Little_Dom
I recently bought an item off a seller on e bay, it's been nearly a week since the "expected delivery" date ( was due for delivery on the 7th) and i've had no contact from the seller since i paid. After sending several emails asking for updates i've still had no response should i file a complaint with e bay or give him another day to respond? steve_b_wales
Give him a few more days, but make sure that if you do file a complaint, it's within the time scale.
maxus77
check there feedback though make sure loads of people aren't reporting issues recently which could suggest them disappearing or account hijacked
weejase
Look at his feedback and see if he has sold and delivered any other items from the date you bought until now.
Little_Dom
just checked his feedback, they are all listed as positive ( and all from items he's bought) but 2 of them from before i bought my item are saying about non paying and not replying to emails, there are also 2 from after i bought mine saying great buyer etc
part451
I have had a seller go on holiday and then post stuff on his return. It is frustrating but you just have to go through the Eb process - as long as paid with Paypal you should be okay.

fenboy
Some of the sellers use drop shipping ,they dont actually have what they are selling , sometimes that means when they say it dispatched its from somewhere like hong kong !! Particularly bad for this I have found are those trading from places such as portsmouth / southampton etc.
Browning GTS
Ive only had this problem once. after contacting the seller and being told he would send it out again nothing. Took out a dispute with ebay, waited the necessary time. It was on a Sunday afternoon i contacted ebay again because of non delivery. Much to my surprise i had a refund within 45 minutes. Very good service.
Gunnerbob
If you paid via PayPal, start a dispute citing non receipt of item and no response from seller, otherwise do it via eBay.

Stovepipe
This ebay lark seems very biased in favour of the buyer?
steve_b_wales
This ebay lark seems very biased in favour of the buyer? Which is not a bad thing. I have made many purchases via Ebay, and only a few have caused me to file a complaint. On each one, Paypal were in my favour and refunded all my costs. In one instance, I bought a camera lens from the USA, which was supposed to fit my camera. It did'nt, and the seller 'argued' that it did. I opened up a dispute with Ebay/Paypal, and received a full refund, including the cost of sending the lens back to the seller.
Vince Green
There are a lot of very strange people on ebay, both buying and selling, yet despite that it works pretty well most of the time. I buy a lot of blank DVDs off there for security cameras. They are so cheap compared to anywhere else.

I have done this a few times and maybe I have been lucky but have been able to make contact on all but 1 occasion - It's worth a try though
vampire
I have just been ripped off by a buyer,he bought item, received it well packaged and in good condition, only to complain that it had bolts lose (not) and wanted refund to which we obliged (didnt have to),got the item back and its damaged because of his packing and bolts have been pulled out...........the worst bit is he has swapped the fixing brackets for a rusty pair that would not support the weight.......i think thats all he wanted was my brackets and just made a load of #### up to get refund.... To cap it all,he complained to e-bay,opening a case because we did not reply within 4 HOURS,have complained to e-bay and rang police and have been referred to 'action fraud' and are awaiting e-bays next move, who have our money................. Little_Dom
gonna give the guy till tomorrow night and if the item still hasn't arrived and i haven't had any response from him i'll open a case with e-bay
old rooster
I used to produce some rather unusual custom made metal items to sell on evilbay, one guy claimed it didn't arrive and although I clearly stated on my listing that the postal charges were for uninsured postage his payment was refunded. A short time later he had the audacity to list the item back on evilbay and when I complained to them they weren't interested. In honesty most of the transactions I've had since have been very good and I've only had to take one seller through the complaint process to get a full refund for some really trashy vegetable peelers he supplied. TaxiDriver
Have no confidence in Ebay and its' Payscam scheme, I bought a rotovator that was supposedly in VGC and perfect working order. After putting in fuel and oil and starting it up, the gearbox was found to be trashed, The seller then avoided & refused all contact, Payscam refused to give me a refund despite my statement and a report from a local garden machinery place
