Reabrook
What do you think it would be the perfect lanyard with calls...for a complete beginner There's a bloke doing many of the Game Fairs this year who sells and makes lanyards of every description. If he hasn't got what your after he will make it there and then for you. A couple of friends of mine bought lanyards from him at the West Country Fair two of which were custom made and I thought they were excellent quality and reasonably priced

Big Mat
Good strong braid that distributes the weight of the calls nicely. Two loops per call, one on each piece so you can't loose part of the call. My own personal one has 6 loops on it for 3 calls. It definatly didnt break the bank either! Penelope
Really apreciated.... what about the basic call setup...what are your views, something that its good to start with and its not to difficult nor braking the bank It all depends on your local quarry species I guess, but a mallard call (DJ 'Sonderman' 66 is very easy to use), brass wigeon call and a goose call depending on which species are most commonly met. I can only speak from personal use and experience but the old Olt L22 has served me for pinks (a long time ago), a DJ Calls Greylag and Faulk's for Canada's. Penelope
Quarry: Mallard, Widgeon,Teal In that case, DJ's Sonderman 66 mallard and a brass wigeon call will do perfectly well.
Tony G
Olt L22 and Olt 800 for pinks and greys. Also use a Haydels snow goose for when they are a long way off. Normal brass wigeon whistle and Archie Jordan double reed for mallard.Have used both Olt calls for Canada's aswell
wildfowler.250
Manage to do pink, grey and Canada with an olt 800. And also use a standard brass wigeon whistle. Haydels (can`t remember the number as its rubbed off) snow goose for pinks and greys, HS Bill Collector and Black Ice for Mallard, standard Wigeon whistle and a .222 case for Teal. Do you just blow over the end of the case? Or have you modified it at all?
figgy
I use a Quackhead Goozilla call for the Canada's, find it easy to use and brings them in a treat. Think im going to get a double nasty for next seasons mallards. Figgy
RossEM
Lohman gold series goose call, I called in greylag, pinks and canadas with it last season. Unbeatable for £10!! Also the Flextone double reed call for mallard, that works a treat.
