steve_b_wales
I've just come across this dimmer switch, from Australia, and think it would be good for using with a 12v lamp. Any thoughts? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/12V-ULTRA-SLIM-ON-OFF-DIMMER-BURST-MODE-OPTION-LED-LIGHT-IN-LINE-SWITCH-/271010817768?pt=AU_Boat_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3f1980e6e8
biketestace
Max Output Current: 4A Max Output Power: 144 Watts Is this enough to cover some of the lamps you guys use ? Just a thought Bta

Just a thought Bta Good question. I did'nt look into the outputs. I would use this with a 100watt bulb max, and the batteries are 12v 12amp /hr & 12v 7amp/hr
Doggone
At 12v I think you would need a switch that could handle 12amps for 144 watts. Andy

Andy I use this dimmer switch with my 100watt Blaserlite, and it's advertised as 8amp. This works well without overheating. http://www.ebay.co.u...d=p5197.c0.m619 I just want a smaller, possibly, inline switch to use with my lamps, without paying the ridiculous prices that the 'proper' ones are being sold for. al4x
having had the proper one for years if anything went wrong with it I'd buy another. Everything gets too warm for my liking otherwise when you use 100 watt bulbs
