Dimmer Switch

At 12v I think you would need a switch that could handle 12amps for 144 watts. Andy

I use this dimmer switch with my 100watt Blaserlite, and it's advertised as 8amp. This works well without overheating.

I just want a smaller, possibly, inline switch to use with my lamps, without paying the ridiculous prices that the 'proper' ones are being sold for.

Good question. I did'nt look into the outputs. I would use this with a 100watt bulb max, and the batteries are 12v 12amp /hr & 12v 7amp/hr

It doesn't matter about the battery Ah as long as it is 12v

Max Output Current: 4A

Max Output Power: 144 Watts

On the face of it those figures do not add up if it is 4A at 12v, and it should struggle with a 12v 50W lamp, a 100w lamp "should" be out of the question! :hmm: :hmm:
