Royboy
My Old School Uncle still uses his 40 year old gear and still gets results. He sits in his van for half a hour watching the birds then decides were to set up his home made hide, places about 10 of the worst looking decoys out and has one home made bouncer then adds shot birds to the decoys. No horse shoe patterns or wirrleys just basic stuff and still gets brilliant results. When I go with him I never get less than 50 ! If I was to set up like that I'd get sweet F,A ! bothbarrels
Definitely!! old school, and fantastic. good for him, you should go out as often as you can and gain all his knowledge, unfortunately we are a gadget obsessed society, boys love their toys, and a lot of all the gear and no idea going on,,, me included! lol

Royboy
I remember about about 20 years ago he made a whirly from a old wiper motor, He pinched the idea from a Italian that had come over pigeon shooting but he said it was **** and scared the pigeons away so never bothered after that ! Cranfield
You have got to be where the pigeons want to be. No amount of gear will produce pigeons that aren't there.
