I've tried a search but can't find it. Can anyone give me the link to when a member hit a pheasant while driving and it ended up in the grill ? A bit further down the posts was a picture of a deer inside the engine compartment.

I want to print out the deer in engine picture to shut a local guy up who is really anti shooting, but used to be a trucker. I pointed out to him i eat most of what i shoot, crows etc are fed back to the foxes. I also pointed out to him i've never shot a hedgehog or a toad etc and asked him how much wildlife had he hit in his truck and left in the road. He declined to answer.

FOR THE RECORD, I HAVE NO GRIEVANCE WITH TRUCKERS, but this guy is really anti-gun ownership, but he walks his dog on the pavements and is quite happy to leave their **** behind.

Is he a vegan/veggie? If not that you can use the standard argument that the meat he consumes is most likely from much lower welfare standards and much much stressed when slaughtered than anything you shoot. Usually works for me. Tell him is he eats meat he should be prepared to kill and prepare it.

If that fails then point out that animals are made of food.

my usual argument is "do you eat meat" is they say yes then they don't have a leg to stand on so they can shut the hell up! you can usually bring some one round by pointing out that what we shoot is COMPLETELY free range and had only natural food etc. it was alive then a fraction of a second later some fast moving lead hits it then its game over! never even knew it was coming!
