Lefty gunz
I could swear that in the instructions is sais to glue the rods into them Surley its is blatantly obvious that they will fly off if you dont. Ive only tried them briefly to see what they look like and the rods spin in the ground so the movement is unaffected. I think though on a windy day the sock and the rod might still go flying
BTMS
When the prototype is finshed with people who shoot and know what they are doing, I will invest in them , but..... A scotsman or a fool are never parted with their money IMHJO. Brian

the hitman
Well done BD , the conditions were not in your favour today but you bagged a few anyway . I think the sillosocks look the business on drillings , even without much wind.

Pointer
For the head down deeks I have put another staple in just behind the white neck flash and the rods rest aginst these, it works a treat. I must admit that the sillo's are getting more interest than flocked or plastic and the hypa's after shortening the fishing line to 1 & 1/2'' are working brilliant (got that tip from the forum). I'm sure will & his team will be reading these posts with interest and will be working towards a perfect solution! I was aware what I was buying into and after a few home mods am more than happy with the product, so much so that I will be buying some more in the near future. Will Beasley
Just a short announcement.......... All Sillosocks Pigeon decoys are now 15% BIGGER than before. We asked for this as we felt that one of the main reasons that they work so well is because they stick out so bloody well in the field so we went just a little further on the size on the new ones. On the head down ones the corrugations run horizontally now so no more need for glueing/stapling any more. Just whack the rods in and your away. Danger Mouse
we have been talking about these on ****************** too and to be frank I have been using them quite a while now, I love the sillosocks but the hypaflaps shine like ******* in the sun. Is there anything that can be done about this Will?

Will Beasley
we have been talking about these on hunter world .co.uk too and to be frank I have been using them quite a while now, I love the sillosocks but the hypaflaps shine like ******* in the sun. Is there anything that can be done about this Will? The early ones did shine......dunno how long ago you bought them? We also told Jim@ Sillosocks about them shining and they are supposed to all be sprayed with Krylon matting spray. If you're having probs still with them shining try a can of "glass frosting spray" from Plasti-Kote availble in all Homebase stores....works a treat and really dulls any shine. Its safe to use on the Tyvec and it works well on lots of other shiny things so its a good thing to have in the bag so it can be used on rotor arms etc
