Assault pigeon decoy

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if anyone has got these there on the bay of e and they look the part on you/tube only thing is you've got to make your own rods which doesn't look to hard providing you can get hold of the steel ! Thinking of getting a couple so your views will be appreciated.

I have these and work very well on my magnet. The only thing ive found with them is they don't work to well in strong winds, for best results you need no wind or very very light winds at most. I quite like them and if you take a walk a 100 yards or more it would be very hard for you to tell them apart from the real thing.

Last week end I tried these out and watched pigeons a long way off alter their coarse and fly over to take a look

The assault pigeon looks better as a floater than the pro flap though ! The video on you tube shows the pro flap on a floater and it just looks like it hovering there wings flapping like a bird of prey but like I said in a earlier post think they would be ok on a magnet !

Agree with you Dbw, I have the Shoot Warehouse Hyperflappers on their skinny magnet, and two bouncers, they can look "hawky" in a strong breeze on the bouncers. I have found extra rod or rods fitted (doubleing up) in the latter situation, slows the wing beat down to a more realistic action

Hi kdubya in my original post I was asking the views on the assault decoy and the response I got from nickb65 was that he preferred the look of the pro flap to which he put a you tube link up showing this in action.

cheers for that DB as for views of it everyone who knows me knows I try every toy available, and yes one is on its way to me right now

Which one kdubya the pro flap I presume ? Don't you make bouncers/floaters yourself I'm sure I've heard your name mentioned on some of the posts saying you make/s£ll them ???

nah not interested in the pro flap I have garage full of hypa's (which work for me very well) I want a look at the assault jobbie, my name is mentioned re Mag and hawkeyes bouncers due to them being my shooting mates, and with spending allot of time at mags where they are made, that and the fact that over standing crop I have had some very very big bags using them.

I think might try one of the assault deeks think they look like they would work really well over standing or laid crops look pretty realistic to me it's just getting hold of the steel rod ! ?

I know he has had a few bags well over the 150 mark and some close to 200 + on some he used nothing else but the floaters no other decoys at all.. :good:

John and me 2 years ago on a field of beans just before they were harvested we shot 185 one day between us in a afternoon, and 3 days later we shot 196 between us on the same field and ended up running out of cartridges :sad1::sad1:
