steve_b_wales
If you bought a Foxpro from a reputable licenced company, and it goes faulty under warranty, then they have to sort the problem out by law, as your contact is with them not Foxpro USA. I bought mine from Bushwear.
remmy1100
yeah bought mine uk ,tried to sort it out uk but all warranty claims are direct to them not via dealers that was direct from company themselves
activeviii
I would be making a phone call. As you bought the unit in the UK from a shop then your warranty contract is with the UK company. it is not for you to have to foot the bill for it. If i buy a car from toyota and the thing gets rust within 10 years do i have to send it back to manufacturers in Japan? I think not, it will get taken back to point of purchase, unless the original place are being good and saying take it local.
steve_b_wales
When I bought mine a few years ago, the handset developed (what I thought at first) a fault. I contacted Bushwear who said that they would deal with it. But then I found that there was'nt a fault at all. I still believe though, that the contract is beween the purchaser and seller. I've bought a new small freezer for my shed. It's made in Germany, but bought from a large electrical dealer. Should it go faulty under warranty, then the dealer has to repair/replace the item. I would not be expected to send it back to Germany.
Dekers
I'm not following this, my opinion is along the same lines as #2, #4 and #5.

Dekers
To the best of my knowledge company procedure does not overrule the Sale of Goods Act, I am confident your contract is with the seller in the UK, whatever FoxPro wants to say. A word with your local CAB will probably provide the answer. ATB!

CharlieT
Just to reiterate what everyone else has said, your guarantee and redress is with the company who sold it to you, not with the US manufacturer. Get on the phone to the seller, don't rely on email and demand they repair it. If they refuse get onto your local trading standards.
robbiep
Agreed entirely with what all the others have said. What Foxpro may say in their Terma and Conditions does not, and can not, override the Sale of Goods act. You do not have a contract with Foxpro, you have one with the vendor in the UK. David BASC
I am very sorry to hear of all your troubles and the costs you have unfairly incurred. Yes Sale of Goods act is Key. Regardless of where the product is made if it goes faulty you can return it to the seller for refund, repair or replacement. It is down to the seller to manage this and they cannot make you send it back to the manufacturer at your own cost This can apply for products for up to 6 years from purchase, 5 years in Scotland.
