Tod
Good going mate What is the effective range of the .17 hmr ? Depends on wind conditions mate, i try and keep to 100 yards or less as you can headshoot them at that range with no wind, if its just pest control and not for the pot and theres no wind you can get out to 150 yards but i wouldnt go past that but im sure theres people who do its a differant story when theres wind as it can blow the little bullit of course by 3" or more at 100 yards. When conditions are right theres no better tool for the job.

A good evening,Tod turned up at 6.30 ,a quick 80yrd zero check at the bottom of the yard ,then a 200 yrd drive to the first cow field plenty of rabbits about (lost count of shots(misses) ) some good long shots.Picked the rabbits up and moved on to the next field,Rabbits sunning them selfs along the banking sides,so tod was back in action ,HIT,HIT, HIT,HIT,HIT, KLICK. Yes 1 magazine so a quick reload (tight yorkshire man) 1 magazine? some good shooting tod ,21 rabbits should have doubled that amount, The grass will start getting cut soon so you will have a few to go at (1 magazine) Tight sod,May have to advertise youre job if you dont buck youre ideas up(any takers) ?Must have own riffle pluss more than 1 mag .Thanks tod.see you soon.
