Wind in our Face...

Recommended Posts

The only option with a strong West wind was to shoot into it this afternoon, it was shoot able from the other direction however quite a lot of houses would have been getting the full Sunday afternoon shot noise, so better too shoot away and have no complaints….

The flight line split around the tree we were shooting from and a few came in from our left and right so there was a lot of snap shooting to keep us on our toes..

It took 3 changes to get things working as the birds kept slipping wide so it ended up with the rotary out directly in front around 35 yard and the pattern only at 20 yards

Lost 8 but most fell around the rotary.

Interesting that you had to change the pattern. On Saturday for me birds decoyed very well for a while and then started to slip around it as yours did on the strong wind. I made a few alterations which only made matters worse. The rotary ended up no more than 15m directly in front of the hide which did the trick.
