Are women ruder than men?

Now I appreciate that this is not scientific proof, but I have been paying attention to this recently and have found the approximate figures:

If I stop and let someone pass in around 90% of cases men will give an acknowledgement compared to around 10% of women (maybe they think that as a man I should stop and let them through anyway).

If the obstruction is on their side and I have right of way, 80% of men will stop and wait compared to around 15% of women, who try to barge through even though they don't have right of way.

Anyone else noticed this

PS - not having a go at women in general, you just seem to be rude people :P:P:P

Awareness and planning. Men are just better drivers! Men tend to use their head more. Back on the subject though, i cant say i have noticed the difference between the 2 sexes and acknowledgements. It does annoy me if you let them go and there is no attempt to say thank you.

Got to be honest, if I let someone pull out/pass and they don't acknowledge it then I won't do it again that day.

Childish I know, but can't help myself

totally agree, noticed this recently when walking holding my new born baby, I always keep to one side and walk in a straight line but many a time a woman has come charging past and almost knocked my baby out of my arms. Ill also point out it tends to be the older people that seem to have no manners all of the sudden the youngish and really old are OK but the 40-65 group are getting on my wick.

Yes but is it more down to aged and upbringing

am 47 and I always like to think am polite and think of others, because that's how I was brought up

though I do find women are more rude

what niggles me is when you say hello to someone and they don't reply

once again it women more then men,

I always go out of my way to say hello

and it's always nice if you get one back :0)

Its Not just traffic I Took my parents shopping this morning, after getting a trolley For them I helped a women in her 60s pull the lock out as she couldn't manage this.

After doing this she just snarled and took the trolley off me, no thank you kiss my a s s !!!

Whilst inside this also happened again whilst stopping and reversing my trolley 10ft to let a old bird through dolled upto nuts smelling like Hugh hefners jock strap, (she also stared like I was something she had just trodden in) said nothing ??? I no we are all a bit mithered with the weather but my own opinion I think the majority of women over 60 think there it were **** :( so yes I do myself believe certain middle age women climb up there own bums :). ;)

I think there is something in this...there are women where I work and on several occasions I have held or opened doors for this particular pair ( who are just admin clarks so a lot less senior than me) and not once did they acknowledge that I did so and it really wound me up how rude they are. I shut the doors on purpose if I see them waddling towards me now...

We can only go by our own experiences, I agree a lot of it is about upbringing. I always open the door for an elderly gentleman and they usually then let me pass first and of course I thank them I have had older ladies give me road rage and push past me to get into a lift. I have had younger men open the door for me to which am always delighted and the best yet was a young boy of about 10 years old opening the door for me and winking at me lol

I think it can also be about your mood at that moment, I try not to let my mood affect the way I treat other people.

I was told to Eff off today by a customer and he called me a T=at as well, it actually upset me because I hadn't done anything wrong, he was annoyed because he thought he had ordered his sofa from me and I don't sell sofas, I got no apology, but I didn't let it control how I behaved for the rest of the day. he wasn't worth it, as people usually aren't or strangers should I say.

Well, if women dont acknowledge you after letting them pass / out etc., it cant be down to a lack of capability at multitasking !

All generalisations are wrong but I have found recently that I am actually being cut-up on the roads by more women than men !

The other week it was bmw sports. Silly girl - naturally I had to overtake her to just sort out the proper hierarchy !

All you ladies out there, ignore the chauvinism its just for fun !
