fortune
I've got a Leupold 6x42 on my 223. the scope is very good quality with superb clarity. Leupold also have a lifrtime garantee. It matches up to my Zeis and habict scopes. Dont know how much it is now but the quality is there when the price is forgotten. Aberystwyth Is a nice area of the country. we recently came up for a lads weekend and went to the Mid Wales shooting ground and had a great time there. Stayed at the park lodge hotel. iain
Look for something second hand and German. You can't go wrong. Should get something like a 6x42 or 8x56 for around that or not much more. Also try http://www.opticswarehouse.co.uk/default.asp They have some good stuff. Or look on gun trader Edited July 20, 2013 by iain

bicykillgaz
For £200-300 you should get a nice meopta vari-mag scope secondhand, you'll not find better for the same money.

bicykillgaz
I've had a few but my favourite was a meopta 4-12x50 meopro I paid £240-250 for it secondhand but there about £400 new. There fantastic value for money and I couldn't tell the difference between that and any other top end glass. Or at the other end of the scale I was using an edgar brothers optimate 6-24x40ao on my .22hornet last night and getting 1" groups with rws factory and sub 1" groups with some homeloads I was trying, the scope cost me £30 off eBay, granted its no meopta but I doubt I could have shot better with a meopta and for 10% of the price! Good luck with what ever you get mate.
bullet boy
Simmons WTC 3.5-10x50 or a secondhand S&B 8x56!Both are superb but my choice would be the S&B of the two.
