eccles
Up early this morning eye sore and back ache. Thought i'd go for a walk up the roads to see if i could see any foxes about for Steve B Wales and The poachers visit very soon. Walked up on Rhywfelen's mountain seen 5 foxes on the other side of valley. Walked up the track over the gate rabbits tails bobbing as they ran everywhere in the long grass and short bracken. Further up the track a young fox cub got up from the bracken easy shot for the shotty. Bit further up a big dog came under the fence about 30 yards looked at me and trotted off without a care in the world. Got to the top sat on my butt to have a smoke, another young fox trotting across Maesterrans field next door farm. Walked over the top seen another fox chasing rabbits on the other valley. Sat there watching it for a while, walked back the way i came seen a small cub walking towards a earth where there where 2 litters of cubs last year. Thought it might go in but it walked up under me and went to sleep, tried to get photo but not close enough for a good photo. Some pics from walk. This is Maesterran Bullet Boy and Steve have shot this with me View from Dafydd's otherside i seen fox chasing rabbit

eccles
Fantastic pics terry... Hope your feeling better!!! Yes getting there Rich eye still a bit sore. the farms i mentioned are about 9000 acres in total There is a 40,000 moor on top of them far hills. and more than 20,000 on the left mountain which is what few of my mates own and use in the summer months for grazing sheep all good grass, but in winter it freezing up there and blows a gale. Have some great hunts up there, lot of foxes get away free even with about 50 + of farmers shooting .

eccles
Steve you can show Mark the land when you drive up its from Dylife onward's, stop on the top before you start coming down my side where i met you first time and you will have a great view of my estate everything you can see from that point. thats if we don't shoot up Caersws way first. It will depend on where i can find most crows to bash. atb Terry

The sun was just coming up over the hill in first pic thats why so many foxes where about ready to do some sunbathing. could have shot 5 of them, and i had my 223 with me. don't shoot many this time of the year,no £££ in it. atb Terry

eccles
Christ you must have some foxes Terry , wish I was closer Hi Mark plenty about mate. Lot of forestry around this way good breeding ground. As i said our hunt cover the same area that i shoot, then you have the Dysynni Farmer Hunt borders north side Tywyn,Pennal way which i hunt with sometimes also shoot lot of cousins that way, then you got Llanbrynmair Farmers hunt border other side have hunted with them but not for a few years do shoot a lot of farms that way, then you got another pack which joins on a bit of ours Llanidloes way in all we hunt and shoot well over a 1000 + foxes a year in total all the areas. Still leave me a few to pop off with the rifle. atvb Terry
The Ghost
Stunning pictures again Terry, the Fens are too flat to see that number of foxes on a walk...but I know they are there.Hope your eye is getting better every day, this is a picture of mine a couple of weeks after the transplant...this was stitched in place by hand...amazing skill. I had the stitches in for 12 months to make sure it had taken. It felt like I had sand in my eye every day of it...so I know what you are going through Terry...thanks again for pictures. eccles
Thanks ghost not fair you had more stitches than me. getting better bud. Pics not that clear it was first light,i will take some more up by them far mountains this week. Want to head that way to see if any crows etc up on them farms. Its one heck of a view from up there you can see for miles. Brill place to hunt we line the top of the mountain and let hounds out at the bottom, great watching the foxes coming up the sides its steep we all use CB's with ear pieces we tell the one on opposite side where or who the fox is heading for ant they tell us. and they still get away sometimes. Wife's 1st cousin is the huntsman, all the farms in the area pay for the keeping hounds etc.

eccles
Hi Terry , can anyone come out for a days hunting with the hounds? Hi Mark yes bud shotguns only,we hunt Tue,Thur,Sat from OCT till lambing Mar- Apr roughly, Dysynni Mon Wed Sat Llanbrynmair same as us but they do change sometimes. Ours are all Welsh Hounds great music when they are flat out. Jo Welsh Lamb has been with me with our hounds and Dysynni she enjoyed it a fox was heading towards her but a mate of mine shot it first before she had a chance. we start at 10 mates feed their stock etc first,Dysynni 9 to 9.30 depends where they are hunting.
