lewis2012
Hi all im getting a new shottie for hide shooting and the odd clay and came across a urika 2 for £600 down local rfd's but not to sure how old it is although looks in good condition. But looking on guntrader theres some lovely 712 raptors (like new) for around £500 and may even be able to drop them down in price with cash. So has anyone got any likes or dislikes on the raptor? Ive never used 1 but shouldered a franchi alcione one o/u and they feel a little short. Obviously id want it to cycle everything from clay carts up to 3inch. Thanks all Lewis

plank06
Fantastic, only sold mine to fund a hushpower pump, very reliable, good looking, light and easy to clean!
Whitebridges
I have a lot of likes for the Urika 2 which is an auto classic but no affections for the Raptor 712 as i've never had the need to shoot one.
retromlc
I had a Raptor,it was a great gun,the only thing I didn't like was the highly polished action, always wondered if it spooked the pigoens?my mate comented that he could see me walking over the other side of the fiels 'cos he could see the gun glare. mr smith
I've got one on FAC popped an extension on it and use it vermin, target shotgun and a little practical.I like the gun tho' not a particular fan of the woodwork and i've never found the action to be of-putting to incoming pigeons and the like.Mine's does not like hull compx thought it didn't like hull superfast but it was just the piston needing a good clean evrything else just flies through the gun. byjovecarruthers
I had a Raptor which I sold via Guntrader. It was a nice gun and well put together, the bolt seems to be modelled on the AK47 rotating bolt and we all know how simple, reliable and efficient they are. I only used the gun as a hide gun but unfortunately no matter how much I messed around with the shims I couldn't hit consistently with it. Bought a second hand AL391 Ulrika and haven't looked back. Berettas just seem to work for me, they also hold their value exceptionally well! I'm pretty sure I've seen brand new Franchi Raptors on gunstar for £575. HDAV
It is made using many benelli parts inc the rotating bolt but on a gas action rather than inertia, part of the beretta stable and undersold by GMK in the UK If they made a left side ejection one i would own 2..............There is a synthetic and cam one if thats your thing.
