Try looking at Hatsan Air Rifles sold by Edgar Brothers......

I had a Hatsan and it was ok , but the amount of times I see you recommend them you really should ask them for sponsorship .

The guy is asking if you have any experience of that brand not for recommendations for others .

You don.t want a dost you want a Hatsan

Whats your problem all that has been said is look at the hatsans because they are made in Turkey.

The Dostarms are being distributed out of Germany but are made in Turkey and look a lot like some of the

Hatsan Rifles that at made.

The Dostarms guns are more than likely made by Hatsan to be re badged by whoever like most of the Webley range of Rifles are made by Hatsan for them to re badged and put a big mark-up on them.

I cannot recall saying I had a problem , in fact I did say I had a Hatsan and they were ok , so wind your neck in .

When someone wants information on a particular brand or gun that's what they should get , as Mr mole does not seem to have any information to share on this particular brand , he has recommended a Hatsan ( again) but having no experience of the dost brand how does he know if he is recommending a better gun or a worse one ?

Yes for the money Hatsan springers are ok but they are not the be all and end all of airguns.

I have information and that is that Dostarms are a more expensive reseller of Turkish sourced Air Rifles than Edgar Brothers. Why would anybody want to buy from a German company when there is a perfectly good English company to deal with?

1) Dostarms are selling Hatsan rifles, some have fancier stocks, some have old style stocks but they are Hatsan rifles.

2) You would have to import them from Germany. Best of luck getting a rifle through Customs without exhaustive tests being done on it, do you fancy putting it back together properly?

3) If anything goes wrong you will have to deal with Frau Frostige Schlüpfer in the land of boiled sausage and sauerkraut. Best of luck.

4) By the time you have imported it, paid duties, paid someone to sort it out after the exhaustive tests by HMRC etc, you will have paid more than if you bought exactly the same gun from Edgar Brothers!

Rodney try using some common!

I like Hatsan as a cheap starter rifle. They are not the be all and end all of rifles though. I also have a Daystate Mark 3, Bowketted Super 10, Theoben Rapid and Sirocco, HW100, all of which are superior to my Hatsan 60. But at the bottom end of the market including against most BSA springers, the Hatsan 60 is probably the best out there in my opinion!

Yes there are always reports of bad ones being sold, try looking at the reputation HW are getting these days on their springers, not exactly the height of QC either, same with Air Arms, but they sell far less guns per annum than Hatsan do!

Firstly well done on your detective work , but since the web site tell everyone that they are a german company specializing in Turkish airguns and shotguns I would have assumed the OP already knew that

Secondly in your post you tell the OP to go buy a Hatsan even though he does not mention even wanting to buy a airgun , he just points out that Dostarms seem to be the latest company selling cheap airguns and doe's anyone else have any info on them.

I am not a gunsnob and have nothing against the Hatsan airguns for what they cost (the shotguns are another matter) they are a fairly decent gun but they are not the only gun.

Even if these guns are made by Hatsan , that does not mean the spec will be the same as the Hatsan guns , it is the customer that sets out the specification it may be lower or it could be higher the only person who could answer that would be someone who has tried both guns , and that's not me or indeed you !

We are NOT distributing out of Germany. Our company was founded in Rosenheim Germany in the 1999 from Mr. Celep

Our company has is Main Office in Turkey. Due to the Fact, that we born and raised there and speak the language very good, we are keen on the Germanmarket .

dostarms,,,,,,

can I ask what is your best air rifle and also how much,, sub 12ftlb,s and also .22

cheers Evo

All our air rifles are good. They are entrylevel Rifles for starters we can deliver with 7.5 joule 14 joule or 21 joule in 5.5mm and 4.5 mm.

The AR 450 is a huge Air rifle but has a good accuracy. To Germany we can sell only with 7,5 Joule. We are now making 5.5mm round pellets for Kanada/Latain America/Russia cause they Hunt there with airrifles. Enclosed some pictures from one of our Customers he testet our pellets himself. 4,5mm match pelletts vs JSb
