steveyg
I have been pigeon shooting for 5 months now,met some great people ..had some great sport...however...its not easy 1.. getting a perm bLXXDY Nightmare.. without a PW Member i would still be crunching the miles.. cheers DH Been very lucky and had some invites from PW Members and have had the privilege to visit some fantastic perms cheers Lads..really appreciated. some great banter and sport.. 2.. buy the right gear mine field,so many options..all looks good but what really works?? 3.. try to get the pigeons to decoy I know flightlines are important however still a lottery to try to get them to commit..a few more years and i might get this right 4.. try to hit them practice..practice ..practice. It's definitely a thinking mans sport... the constant challenge to get the hide, pattern and enough lead to nail them is a real challenge This pigeon shooting lark is not easy however... Great Fun :good: Role on the next weekend..then again might try to get out Thursday...happy days
SNS
Am with you on that - I managed a couple of hours on my new permission today. Less than a dozen pigeon around, and only managed to get a few of those to commit. And one remarkably slow crow ! There are nearly as many in my garden currently. And dozens on a field of rape that was cut the other day on my other permission - but they've asked me not to shoot so as to not spook the young partridge ! Fingers crossed they are going to combine the field over the lane from my house shortly - I've been studying the flight lines from my sunroom (comfort !) and there are two that look good - they converge near a convenient dip in the fie

I only picked up 63 anyway so you probably enjoyed yourself more staying at home decorating.
